We use 2.5mm 5005 Australian aluminium sheet for the roof, walls and doors, we have found this to be the perfect balance between weight and strength, our canopy design uses a fully welded frame which provides the strength not the outer skin like some of our competitors designs.
2.5mm is 16.7% lighter than 3mm sheet which can make a huge difference on a fully loaded vehicle setup for towing and touring helping you keep your GVM in check and staying legal.
Yes, we have incorporated 41mm aluminium Unistrut to the frame of the canopy on the walls and ceiling, this keeps weight down while retaining strength and give flexibility to add accessories without drilling.
We have heavily invested in the design and simulation testing of our canopies to ensure we have a solid design that we can offer giving the end user confidence. Our canopies are designed with CAD using SolidWorks. Simulation testing was performed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
We also have a wealth of real-world testing performed on our own vehicles on some of Australia's toughest tracks. Cam Wild from "Wild Touring" also put one of our canopies through its paces in the 2 years he had with our canopy on his Dmax as can be seen on his Youtube channel.

We have spent 5+ years developing and improving these kits to get them to a stage where even with limited aluminium fabrication experience, if you have an AC TIG, MIG setup for aluminium work and a flat bench can produce a high-quality canopy that will perform and outlast the life of the vehicle.
